Hosted by African Hospitality School (AHS) in partnership with T&R Solutions, the Train the Trainer (TTT) program was scheduled from April 5th to April 11th in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The overarching objective is to provide Ethiopian youths with employability training and practical experience specifically tailored for the F&B department of the hospitality industry. Through a collaborative effort, the aim is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, thereby enhancing the employability prospects of participants within the thriving hospitality sector.
The week-long program offered a comprehensive curriculum comprising of theoretical sessions, hands-on workshops, and practical experiences in real-world hospitality settings. Expert trainers from AHS and T&R Solutions delivered in-depth sessions covering essential topics such as customer service excellence, F&B management, hygiene and safety standards, and communication skills. One of the highlights of the program is the industry immersion, wherein participants will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience by shadowing experienced professionals in leading hotels and restaurants in Addis Ababa. Specialized train-the-trainer sessions focused on equipping trainers with effective teaching methodologies, instructional techniques, and assessment strategies tailored for imparting employability training to Ethiopian youths. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certification, validating their proficiency in F&B operations and employability training. The TTT program represents a collaborative effort to nurture talent, foster economic empowerment, and drive positive socio-economic impact within the Ethiopian community. Through strategic partnerships and targeted interventions, we aspire to unlock the potential of Ethiopian youths and pave the way for a brighter future in the dynamic hospitality sector.
